MicroFab Summit 2023 focuses on the emerging and most remarkable fabrication techniques for sensors and MEMS devices. The goal of the event is to showcase the current state-of-the-art fabrication techniques and manufacturing trends, as well as to discuss emerging and innovative process technologies such as new materials, 3D micro and nano printing, new types of substrates, plastic and paper processes, and flexible hybrid assembly techniques. Special emphasis will be made on the fabrication of “More than Moore” (MtM) devices.

According to our research, the sensors, MEMS, and MtM device market will reach an “inflection point” in the 2025-2027 timeframe which will change the economics of production to dramatically reduce costs and, therefore, significantly increase the utilization of micro devices throughout major industrial segments. Given this “inflection point” and the sharp reduction in production costs, can the market grow to $100 billion and 1 trillion micro devices per year by 2027? We believe this can happen. Already, the MtM/sensors/microtech/MEMS market has been the “shining star” within the overall semiconductor market sector, and the economy as a whole.

MicroFab Summit 2023 will provide a networking platform for the leading technology and business experts, and will also bring the MtM/sensors/microtech/MEMS “brain trust” together. We invite you to attend this two-day conference which will showcase major technological breakthroughs and emerging high volume applications.

Testimonials
(from the participants and attendees of the 2022 online event)

"MicroFab Summit 2022 was a great opportunity for AlixLabs to reach out to the microfabrication ecosystem with our new Atomic Layer Etch technology for Pitch Splitting (APS). We look forward to meeting up with the many new contacts we made!" Jonas Sundqvist, PhD, CEO and Co-Founder -- AlixLabs

“After attending my first MicroFab Summit in 2022, I plan to enroll in future meetings. The event was well organized. Speakers did a great job and the material presented was appropriately technical and well presented. The question sessions were handled very well, allowing everyone to hear the question clearly and therefore gain more benefit from the answer. The platform for technical “chat” and setting up meetings as well as sharing contact information allowed me to make several valuable connections and set up meetings after the technical sessions. I highly recommend future MicroFab Summits.” Kimberly Reid, Owner/Sr. Consultant -- Kim Reid Thin Films LLC

“The MicroFab Summit 2022 was perfect. The speakers are knowledgeable, professional, and willing to share. Microtech Ventures does a great job securing appropriate speakers and managing the schedule.” Curtis Ray, Head of Business Development -- Omnitron Sensors

“The MicroFab Summit 2022 included some really interesting and informative talks. The industry-based presentations especially gave a useful insight in the current topics of MEMS that are covered by the community. The online format was again a good decision to gather a lot of experts from industry and research in one event. The networking through Brella was again easy and initiated some very good discussions. Plus, the organization and moderation throughout the conference was perfect.” Christian Linke, Application Group Manager, Thin Films -- Plansee

“MicroFab Summit 2022 was an enjoyable conference, with a good pool of industrial speakers in MEMS field. Despite being online, it is very easy to network through the Brella platform. Microtech Ventures’ team does a good job at organizing and Mike Pinelis is a good host/moderator.” Riccardo Gatti, Sr. Process Engineer -- Stathera

MicroFab Summit 2022 always pays attention to the current MEMS activities, discusses the latest technology updates, and gives an outlook for the MEMS industry for the near future.” Ciro Napoletano, Vice President, Technical Marketing Dept -- SUMCO Europe

“I enjoyed attending and networking at MicroFab Summit 2021. The majority of the major MEMS foundries were either in attendance or speakers and I was able to connect via Brella. There were several new technology presentations in microfluidics and glass MEMS I had not seen before and as always, the speaker from Yole shared new market insight with the audience. It was the first time using the Brella platform for me and I found it the best way to network at virtual and hybrid conferences that I've run across the last 2 years. Being able to schedule 1 on 1 meetings with any of the conference attendees and speakers on Brella was more efficient than a traditional face to face meeting. Great job Microtech Ventures!”
Doug Sparks, CTO, Hanking

“The MicroFab Summit 2021 conference was well worth attending, with a wide range of speakers – everything ran very smoothly. I now know a lot more about emerging micro-fabrication methods.”
Matthew Dyson, Sr. Technology Analyst, IDTechEx

“The MicroFab Summit 2021 conference provided the latest update of MEMS and sensors industry and put customers and suppliers worldwide in touch.”
Ciro Napoletano, Vice President Tech Marketing, SUMCO Europe

“The conference was a unique opportunity for us to present our university research and initial technology demonstrations to an industry-focused audience. The networking sessions were well organized and resulted in discussions with several people that may lead to new collaborations.”
Lynford Goddard, Professor, University of Illinois

“Fraunhofer IPMS is pleased to participate in the MicroFab Summit as the R&D Partner for MEMS/MOEMS. Thereby, we bridge the gap between innovative MEMS ideas and concepts by supporting integration and pilot fabrication, enabling the transfer to high volume manufacturing. Microtech Venture’s hosting was excellent by inviting leading and high-quality companies and speakers, resulting in extraordinary presentations and insights.”
Thomas Zarbock, Division Director - MEMS Engineering, Manufacturing and Test, Fraunhofer IPMS
